SME UNION
Newsletter October 2004
Dear Members of the SME UNION, dear Friends of SMEs!
We are pleased to present our October 2004 Email-Newsletter, the first one after the newly elected European Parliament had its opening session at the beginning of summer and started working in September. We would like to say welcome to the new MEPs especially those of the EPP-ED group who decided to join the SME Circle. It is good to know that so many of them are interested in small and medium entrepreneur issues, since the SMEs are the backbone of economic growth and crucial for reaching the Lisbon goals. The hearings of the new Commissioners are a current hot topic in Brussels and the SME UNION was quite pleased with many of the ideas of the incoming SME Commissioner Guenther Verheugen. Please find out more about our upcoming events, important SME information and services, as well as events having taken place lately.
